On December 16, 2025, the Lekedi Biodiversity Foundation organized the 4th edition of the Eramet Biodiversity Day in Bakoumba (Gabon).

Now an unmissable event, this day brought together institutions, experts, partners, as well as local communities to exchange, learn, and act together on environmental issues.

This year, the objective was to raise awareness about ecosystem services, meaning all the contributions of nature to human well-being: the water we drink, the food we consume, the regulation of air and climate, photosynthesis that produces oxygen, but also landscapes, cultural resources, and recreational spaces.

The day was marked by presentations, discussions, and a visit to the Lekedi Park to concretely illustrate the richness and fragility of our environment, as well as a meeting between the Foundation’s collaborators and stakeholders to explain each party’s role in biodiversity preservation.

The materials presented will be part of a traveling exhibition at Comilog sites and Setrag stations to extend the engagement.
