The Lékédi Biodiversity Foundation was inaugurated on June 12, 2021, by its two founding members: Eramet Comilog and the Eramet group, in the presence of the supervisory authorities.
The Board of Directors
The Board of Directors of the Lekedi Biodiversity Foundation ensures the proper governance of the Foundation’s actions and the coherence of its strategy. It is composed of leaders and specialists in biodiversity and CSR. It meets at least twice a year and is chaired by Virginie de CHASSEY, Director of Sustainable Development and Corporate Engagement at the Eramet group. Its mission is to guide programs, validate major decisions, and ensure that the Foundation’s commitments in terms of conservation, research, and awareness are fully respected. It plays an essential role in the management, transparency, and outreach of the projects carried out by the Foundation.
The Executive Director
Eric WILLAUME is the Executive Director of the Foundation and Director of the Park. He reports to the Board of Directors.
The scientific committee
The scientific committee is composed of experts in environment, ecology, biology, and conservation. It defines research and innovation priorities based on needs as well as scientific advancements. Its missions include evaluating the relevance and impact of projects, promoting sustainable and innovative practices, and ensuring the scientific integrity of initiatives. It proposes projects to the Board of Directors for approval and reports on progress.
