One of the strong assets of the Fondation L\u00e9k\u00e9di Biodiversit\u00e9<\/a> is its 14,000-hectare park located in Bakoumba<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Lekedi Park hosts emblematic animal species of the region and is open to schoolchildren, students, and visitors.<\/p>\n

As a true scientific station<\/a>, the Park also benefits from infrastructures (accommodations, laboratories) that allow scientists to conduct long-term programs.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Our contribution to international databases<\/h2>\n

Since 2022, the Lekedi Biodiversity Foundation has been actively contributing to the global iNaturalist<\/a> database, a citizen science platform that helps identify wildlife and plants while generating useful data for research and conservation.<\/p>\n

Thanks to its field teams and monitoring programs, the Foundation has already shared more than 1,140 observations, representing nearly 440 different species. This data enhances the knowledge of the park’s biodiversity and its surroundings, while also increasing the visibility of Gabon’s natural heritage within an international scientific community.<\/p>\n
